BIZ' DAY WITH
It’s not every day you can welcome the CEO of a private investment banking company from Vienna, Pallas Capital, but I had the pleasure of recently spending the weekend with Florian Koschat.
Florian was in town for a series of business meetings, and we had previously communicated, exchanging information on both of our professional fields. This is such a great way to not only expand your knowledge, it also opens up plenty of new opportunities and potential collaborations.
Florian already knows Monaco quite well since he comes here regularly to meet with clients, but I still wanted to show him some of my favorite spots around the principality.

For our meeting place, I chose the Port Hercules, greeting Florian on board the 46-meter yacht, “Big Mak.”
Since Monaco is often described as the “Yachting Capital of the World”, it made sense to meet here and get a taste of this culture. This yacht was the perfect example of the luxurious Monegasque lifestyle, and it’s even on the market with Yacht & Villa which charters and sells yachts to private clients.
The day is just as stunning as the yacht we’re sitting on, and conversation is flowing quite easily.
On our way to lunch, we made a detour to stroll by the infamous Casino Square and share a moment I knew we would both enjoy, hopping inside a sleek red Ferrari 250 GT LWB California Spider to cruise the principality’s streets.
Just as Monaco is synonymous with yachts, the streets are known as a race track for the annual Grand Prix and best explored in style in a car like this one.

Behind the wheel the sensations are awesome and it’s a great pleasure to drive around the lovely roads of Monaco especially around the Casino with this masterpiece.
After finishing lunch at the Metropole Hôtel—one of Monte-Carlo’s most prestigious and the spot where Florian was staying during his trip—it was almost time to say goodbye.
I also had a trip to take, so we made our way over to the Monaco Heliport together for a speedy transfer to the airport. Not only is it a quick option, it also doubles as a great tour since you can see over the entire Principality from the sky.
ON THE MOVE
I had such a great time showing Florian around, but I also learned a lot of new investment banking tips, which you can discover on his website here: Pallas Capital.
I look forward to meeting him again in Monaco or even in Austria, but in the meantime, we’ll definitely keep up the relationship remotely from both of these great destinations.
