A STYLISH RIDE ALONG FRENCH RIVIERA WITH
As we explore some of Façonnable’s classic men’s looks, what could be better than a tour around the French Riviera to showcase the brand’s creations, which are inspired by this stunning region? I was born in Nice and every day I am still amazed by the Riviera’s beauty, from the mountains down to the turquoise-colored sea and pebble-lined shores, so it’s easy to see why this area is a source of inspiration.
Façonnable’s designs are what I’d call refined elegance, a fresh look that mixes colors and textures for classy yet relaxed pieces that can easily be worn on a day-to-day basis. Today, we began our journey in Monaco cruising along in a chic classic cabriolet around the famous corniche, heading down to Saint-Jean Cap-Ferrat. For the morning, I chose a pair of jeans—which you can never go wrong with—paired with the waxed, cotton-linen blend jacket worn over an elegant white shirt. To keep things cool and casual, I topped off the look with a sleek pair of brown leather sneakers.
My first stop is at the Villa Ephrussi de Rothschild, a gorgeous palace constructed in the early 1900’s by Baroness Beatrice de Rothschild. The gardens surrounding the mansion are classified by the French Ministry of Culture and the sea view makes this tranquil spot feel even more heavenly. I switched out my look for something a bit more "Riviera", opting for white trousers, a beautiful stripped cotton shirt, and a navy blue blazer made of textured wool and cotton blend. This is one of my favorite styles and, in an attempt to dress it up a bit, I added a pair of timeless brown derby shoes.
After exploring the mansion’s sprawling themed gardens and Versailles-esque fountains, I felt like going for a stroll along the beach, since it was just a few steps away. And what’s better than a pair of Bermuda shorts to walk barefoot on the sand and take a dip in the Mediterranean Sea? A touch of red – my favorite color – was perfect for this setting, and I paired the shorts with a red Bengal striped cotton shirt.
As the sun was about to set, I wanted to find a special spot to get the best view, so I hopped on board a Cor D Rover Tender 28 from NTK Marine and took a spin on the water. The wood-covered, leather-lined boat glides smoothly along the water, but since there’s still a breeze, I decided to bring a few layers so I wouldn’t get too cold. My look: a striped cotton sweater (part of Façonnable’s premium knitwear) and a pair of cotton chinos in red.
As you may already know, I’m a big fan of sunglasses, and they’re an accessory we need year-round on the French Riviera. Façonnable offers a sleek selection of them, two of which I chose for these looks. It’s definitely worth checking out others in the collection, which you can find here. Hope you enjoyed the ride!
