G.P. DE MONACO HISTORIQUE Part2
To get closer to the cars, I make my way to the start of the race by the Port Hercule where all of the classic racing cars are getting mechanically prepared.
Since the atmosphere here is a bit busier and industrial, I went with a stronger style from Belstaff that I found at Society Club in Monte-Carlo: biker boots; sleek black jeans by Saint Laurent; and a white tee topped by a modern jacket with quilted material on the shoulders, elbows, chest and side pockets.
To complete the biker look, I threw on a black-and-white scarf and Pepe & Pepe bracelet. I’ve also changed my timepiece to match this new style and opted to go with another finish from the Chopard G.P.M.H. Chrono collection in titanium and stainless steel with a soft material bracelet that adds a sporty feel.
An exclusive pair of Thom Browne shades from the runway show is the ultimate item that completes my racecar driver-inspired look today.
The last place I’m going to walk around now is a very interesting one—the pit lane and Chopard Garage, where a lot of work is done before and during the races.
You can feel a special energy there and I needed a really unique look for this spot, so I stuck with Belstaff from Society Club, donning an incredible leather jacket inspired by the original Belstaff brown panther racing jacket. The water-repellent treatment on the high-quality leather helps make it look even better with age, while external pockets, the buckle belt and the sharp collar make this jacket a perfect one to sport while driving.
Paired with Belstaff quilted jeans and biker books, this style is one of the strongest I have ever worn, complimented by a rose gold Chopard timepiece. As I walk along the side of the track and pit lane, I can feel the pulsing heartbeat of the race and see some of the most beautiful classic racing cars in the world at the Chopard Garage.
After taking a few more pictures of the cars on the track, it’s already time for the final lap and the last cars are pulling up at the garages.
It has been an incredible Grand Prix de Monaco Historique and the perfect intro to the Formula One race ahead. Stay tuned for my next story!
