Luca Faloni
An ideal Italian cashmere
Despite the sun continuing to shine in Monaco, winter is setting in pretty quickly, and with it comes the harsh drop in temperature, requiring more layers to be worn. I personally love the stylistic opportunities which arise thanks to the autumn breeze, and cashmere is my best friend for the season. So I thought this would be the perfect time to showcase some of the latest pieces from the Italian fashion house, Luca Faloni.
Specializing in the creation of wardrobe staples, Luca Faloni sources all of its materials from local Italian artisans: pure cashmere from Cariaggi, full-grain Tuscan leather from Santa Croce, and brushed cotton from Veneto. In opting to create a permanent wardrobe above following temporary trends, the brand is able to support its pursuit of a more sustainable industry.
Starting this weekend getaway driving from Monaco to the countryside, I opted to wear the Cashmere Hoodie in stone grey topping the white brushed cotton shirt and chino trousers. Thanks to the tapered fit and stretchy properties of the cotton, these are perfect for long journeys.

Arriving in the mountains, I opted to wear the Cashmere Polo Sweater in camel and the Nocciola Cashmere Roll Neck. The polo sweater is pretty versatile, offering a touch of chic with its collar, whilst also casual enough for a midday stroll through the alpine forests. Given the insulating property of cashmere, this is ideal to wear all the way from autumn to spring
In winter, roll necks are a must have to keep warm in style; you can wear them on their own or under a coat, or even with a blazer for a smarter look. The road I was following took me through the alpine village of Gréolières, resting atop a small plateau at an altitude of 1800m, set at the bottom of Mount Cheiron. Ideal for skiing in the winter months, Gréolières overlooks the Loup Valley, renowned for its impressive waterfalls.

As evening drew near, I arrived at the Calern plateau, just north of Grasse. The sky was turning an explosive array of pink and purple, which transformed the moon-like landscape up near the CERGA Observatory. The Observatory is home to an abundance of high-spec telescopes such as interferometers, solar astrolabes, and even Moon lasers. Situated right in the center of a vast expanse of open grassland, I took the time to enjoy the view and the sci-fi environment I was in, whilst staying warm in the Atlantic Blue Cashmere Zip-Up from Luca Faloni.
As the sun disappeared and the temperature began to drop, I felt as warm as ever, equipped with the perfect outfit from the Italian fashion house. Dressed appropriately, I look forward to going on more outdoor adventures as winter rolls in!
