No better backdrop than this… at the doorstep of Monaco, yet within French Territory, stands the Monte Carlo Beach Hotel.
A luxury summer resort created in the early nineties which opened its doors in 1929. The building construction was entrusted to Roger Seassal, a renowned architect, whose vision was to recall the style of palatial hotels in Florida. Today, we can say that this Hotel represents authentic luxury. And so, without a doubt, my first and only choice is the very “Monte Carlo Beach” to present our first Summer 2015 swimwear style.
The Hotel and its environment exude a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere, bringing together such charm and history throughout all its walls, shapes and curves.
On our way to the Olympic-size swimming pool, I took a minute to sit and enjoy my coffee on the large terrace and admire the breath-taking sea view.
Speaking of time, I was wearing the exquisite ‘Rolex Yacht Master II Oyster’ for the occasion, which can be found at the Zegg & Cerlati watch & jewellery store in Monaco.
It is certainly a perfect accessory for completing the swimwear style of any outfit – with its blue undertones and color palette – indeed a summer essential! The 44 mm chronograph, which has been created specifically for yacht racing, is made of steel and Everdose gold 18ct, the finest materials and attention to details reflecting Rolex identity. It is designed for legibility, no matter what the conditions.
An unprecedented combination of complexity and simplicity
The Rolex Way
It was now time to hit the pool and enjoy one of the services of the Hotel water club. A luxurious complex at the edge of the sea, with an ozone-filtered seawater pool heated to 24°C.
Members can enjoy solariums, bungalows, a private beach, personalized massages and fitness activities. To top all that – some great food dishes to enjoy. The coolest spot in Monaco to start summer the right way!
What a relaxing moment to explore the pool area and the edgy diving platform in my brand new MAZU SWIMWEAR “Bamboo Vesper”.
Truly unique swimwear from Hong Kong, a recently launched brand that I like to acclaim for all its values, among them quality and comfort. A blend of tradition and modernity, with its bold colors, the brand boasts unique craftsmanship with lasting durability and texture.
Looks good outside, feels great inside – a pattern that mimics the bamboo groves of the Far East.
The classic pairing of red and blue pigments is certainly eye catching – making it a pair of shorts you’ll have to have with you this season. Handcrafted, 100% soft-to-touch polyamide fabric with double needle stitching and point d’arrêt finish ensures excellent construction. And who said luxury and practicality couldn’t go together? Each pair of shorts comes with its own canvas ditty bag for use on board or at the beach!
Māzŭ pays homage to Hong Kong’s rich maritime history; incorporating traditional colours, local motifs, and unique fabrics to create classic swim shorts for the man who understands quality and comfort. And I can say with certainty: the craftsmanship and work that goes into the swim shorts is second to none.
To complete my summer style (and I would say even all year long in our dolce Monte Carlo), I have been wearing a very powerful accessory “touch”: The “Oxford” 24K Gold Sunglasses with clip-on, by Leisure Society.
State of the art craftsmanship, the product is handmade in Japan with high technical attributes. 100% pure titanium plated in 12k or 24k gold plating, polarized and anti-reflective combined with block eye-fatiguing blue light and Diamond Cast ‘anti-scratch’ coating, this is not your typical accessory!
Rather a truly luxurious piece. This is further attested by the fact that it is individually numbered and handmade in Japan from the world’s finest artisanal craftsmen.
These sunglasses represent some of the sharpest designs I have ever seen, signed personally by Shane Baum – a man whose passion for building products of inherent value led him to crafting the world’s finest eyewear one could possibly find. He creates strong collections of utmost luxurious components: titanium frames, 12, 18, & 24k gold plating, diamonds, and buffalo horn.
Leisure Society is an extension of designer Shane Baum’s perspective on what life should be: spending time with family, friends, and enjoying intimate moments of absolute leisure.
Well my friends, I hope you enjoyed this new summer style and the fine products and accessories as much as I did. I will most likely present you with another swimwear “Summer Style in Monte Carlo” very soon.
