TRAVEL & FINANCE
My very first visit to Austria, Vienna and it is for business purpose, however I also intend to enjoy and discover this beautiful part of the world as much as I can. As a follow up to my first meeting with Florian Koschat in Monaco, we had to organize business discussions around a specific contract, and for that I needed to meet him at his private investment banking company headquarters, Pallas Capital.
As I arrived in Austria, I had some free time to discover the area first, and I decided to enjoy a bit of the country side roads with the Porsche Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid. Combining a total of 680 HP (550HP from Comb.eng. and 136 HP from the Electric power) it gives incredible sensations on the road with a stunning grip and also a great comfort in the luxurious cockpit that I particularly appreciate for being sleek and efficient. I will activate the electric mode when I will be in the city centre but for now on, it is all about the sport mode.
TURBO S E-HYBRID - 680HP
A friend has recommended me to visit the Liechtenstein Castle and its surroundings while I was close to Vienna so this has been my first stop. I must say the roads to access the stunning Castle built in the 12th Century are pretty cool especially with as supercar like the Panamera. Perfect for some good sensations. I take a moment to admire this beautiful heritage in the middle of a very quiet nature before heading to the city.
Talking about style, I have been rocking during this whole trip some full Rashini styles that I will describe in a futher article featuring the best style captures.
My second stop is in Vienna centre. I have decided to stay in one of the most iconic hotels of the city: the Hotel Sacher. Created in 1876 by Eduard Sacher, son of Franz Sacher who created in 1832 the famous Sacher Cake for Prince von Metternich. Today the Original Sacher-Torte is a true symbol, not only in Vienna but internationally as one of the greatest dessert, served in one the most renowned hotels in the world.
Driving in Vienna just feels great and as I get closer to the hotel I discover the Opera of Vienna which is right in front of Sacher Hotel. What a majestic building, I will go there later as I truly want to get some Ballet dancing inspiration, finding it extremely beautiful.
The hotel entrance is authentic and the valet dressed in his typical red attire makes you already feel like you already travel in time, I just love those details.
By the way I am styling a stunning Raschini leather jacket with very stylish collar, this has to be one of my favorite items of the trip.
I quickly head to my room and discover the incredible Penthouse Presidential Suite. 110sqm of comfort, details and high quality. AS you walk in through the room and the private salon with a fireplace, getting out on the 60 sqm terrace offers one of the greatest experience here with a stunning view on Vienna roofs including the famous Opera and the iconic St Stephen’s Cathedral in the background.
After I read the kind and warm welcome letter from the hotel , I could not wait more time to taste the very well-known “Sacher-Torte”. The Café Sacher was full (yes it has such a success people are even queuing in the street!!!), so let me show you two of the best spots to taste that Torte. After the lobby there is a really charming room, with ancient wood and paintings all over the place. I love this room and could stay there for hours to have long talks and enjoy the fantastic desert with some coffee. Another incredible place is Anna Sacher’s restaurant where you can feel the elegance and charm that fills that hotel from the velvet furniture to the ancient luxurious chandeliers.
After having enjoyed the sweet and tasteful dessert, I have been out for a lovely walk in the pedestrian areas around one of the city’s symbols, St Stephen’s Cathedral known under its German name as Stephansdom. I love the fact that you can see the classic horse carriage going around that city that just gives the sensation to travel back in time.
Now let’s see how Florian is running his day. After a morning at his office to handle his teams and give some calls he had his tailor appointment. A classic store in the pedestrian area of Vienna making the classic tailor-made suits. A true Kingsman feeling as you push the door! As the Master tailor has taken all measurement for Florian’s new business attire, I receive his call to confirm our upcoming meeting.
I am getting ready and head to his office and, as I arrive I discover a beautiful and historic building where he employs a full staff handling funds for the company and its clients.
We sit in a large room, however not the typical meeting room you would expect in a financial company. Large sofas, low level tables, everything is done so you can feel comfortable and have a proper conversation. And it works, we sat there talking about everything and anything for hours before taking a look at a contract. As I am going through details, Florian tells me that we don’t have to make a decision now and that he would like to show me some of the Vienna Lifestyle before we would come back to the office for a final agreement.
Perfect, we will talk business while discovering what the area has to offer.
Vienna is holds a lot of cultural treasures that I am really keen to have a look at, and a lot of them are inside beautiful museums.
We are now on our way to Albertina Museum which is among Austria’s leading art museums, only a few steps from the Opera and Hotel Sacher. For the occasion I am wearing a new classy Raschini style with a casual chic black jacket and beatiful pattern tie with pocket square.
Opened 365 days of the year it not only a museum that you will discover but also a palace with its renovated and authentically neoclassical re-furnished staterooms mixed with the modern museum exhibitions and presentations of modernist & contemporary paintings. A real pleasure to have the chance to look at art, architectural, graphic, painting or furnishing collections.
During our walk through this stunning museum Florian and I can keep going with our discussions and he explains me his knowledge about his city.
MUSEUM & PALACE
He explains that we will continue to another kind of Museum with Belvedere Museum composed of two Palaces. As we arrived I am stunned by the architectural beauty the Upper Belvedere.
The Palace is also surrounded by beautiful gardens where you can have a nice a walk and take beautiful pictures. Built in the early eighteenth century, the ensemble is one of Europe’s most stunning Baroque landmarks comprising the Upper and Lower Belvedere and an extensive garden (together listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site). Today the Belvedere houses the greatest collection of Austrian art dating from the Middle Ages to the present day, complemented by the work of international artists such as Claude Monet, Vincent van Gogh, and Max Beckmann.
Indeed we had the chance to discover some pieces from Gustav Klimt among them the famous Kiss (Lovers).
As we walk throught the Palace, my eyes is always attracted by a new piece of art or an element of architecture on the high ceiling.
MUSEUM & PALACE
We could easily spend days here and I am grateful to have discover such treasure. Now time for us to head back to the Centre and grab a refreshment before our next destination. We sat down at Blaue bar a fresh fruit juice (yes we have to take the cars soon!) before heading out.
The two Porsche are in front of the Hotel and ready for a spin. By the way, do you prefer the 911 or the Panamera? I think both are stunning.
A quick stop at the Opera during a rehearsal: music and dance just give me so much inspiration for my short films production, I am glad we were able to give a visit to Igor Zapravdin who performs at Wien Opera.
As I look at the architecture of the building, Florian reminds me our following destination will take our business to “new heights”. Indeed he planned an helicopter tour over Vienna.
Perfect I love getting new angles and new perspective in life. As we fly over the Danube we can glimpse the green areas around the Austrian Capital which is home to around 1,8 million people. We can discover its famous buildings from the top and we also get a chance to take a look at the taller buildings of Donaustadt area.
That’s all these things that come up for me when signing a contract. In the end, it’s not only about figures, it is also about trust and people. I must say thanks to Florian Koschat for great meetings in Vienna and the time he took to show us some of the best features in his city.

Ho, and of course after the contract was signed, we have been celebrating in a typical restaurant with incredible food coming from small and local suppliers. The place is called Mayer am Pfaarplatz and I really recommend it if you like great food, you can check their website with the link here to book your table ;) everywhere you go, the the most important is to taste what’s local.
Till next time!
